Pelletized Activated Carbon (PAC)

Pelletized Activated Carbon (PAC) is a variant in which activated carbon is compressed to form cylinders. Low ash content, large surface area, high mechanical strength, extended pore volume and chemical stability are the characteristics of pelletized activated carbon and these properties make it appropriate for many vapor phase applications. Due to its cylindrical uniformity in shape, it is useful in applications where there is a likelihood of a low-pressure drop over granular activated carbon. Furthermore, its adsorptive capacity makes it optimum for the removal of contaminants from air and gas streams, the recovery of solvents, and for evaporative emission controls. Environmental air treatment, purification for gas-phase applications, air filtration, biogas filtration, odor control, and removal of toxic organic impurities from natural gas are the uses of Eleven CarbonTM pelletized carbon.
